Pharmacopuncture and Korean Medicine Treatment
This clinic uses pharmacopuncture as its main treatment method, alongside acupuncture, herbal medicine, and moxibustion.
What is pharmacopuncture?
Pharmacopuncture (약침, yakchim) injects a small volume of purified herbal extract into acupuncture points. It combines the point stimulation of acupuncture with the pharmacological action of herbal medicine. Preparations are made in a licensed dispensary under quality control, not mixed at the bedside.
A session usually takes 15–30 minutes. The injection volume is small and a fine needle is used. Treatment frequency depends on the condition and is decided with the doctor.

Research background
Two of the clinic's pharmacopuncture formulations have been studied in retrospective clinical analyses published in international peer-reviewed journals, in collaboration with a research team at Dankook University. The published outcomes concern changes in lipid profile among patients already taking statins, and changes in HbA1c among adults with hyperglycaemia.

Cost
Korea's National Health Insurance covers part of the cost of some Korean medicine treatments for enrolled patients. Pharmacopuncture and herbal medicine are generally not covered and are charged privately. Exact cost depends on the treatment plan; please ask at the front desk or call before your visit.
